counseling for adults & teens

We welcome you with whatever your concern, be it career, relocation, relationships, death of a loved one, health issues, trauma, addiction or the challenges of parenting a teenager. Anything that is preventing you from feeling fully alive.

We know firsthand the stresses involved in feeling like a “foreigner” and the life issues, challenges and frustrations that go along with it. We know that change is stressful, whether you chose it or it was brought to you by Life.

Our work is holistic, incorporating a mind/body approach. Our varied methods are active and oftentimes, fun. We even use technology to effectively treat certain types of problems.

Through perseverance and our own therapeutic process, we have learned what is needed to cope with and embrace change. We would love to help you do the same.

“Healing can be fun.”

I am a native of Belgium. Having experienced multiple expatriate relocations, including to Brazil and The United States, I consider myself an “expert” in the matter. I speak five languages: English, Dutch, Portuguese, French, and German.

I have been on my own conscious life journey for over 20 years. Over that time, I’ve addressed issues such as cross-cultural changes, professional development, and family dynamics relating to marriage, pregnancy, and parenting. More

“I use techniques that work. Quickly.”

I came to The United States from Brazil 17 years ago.  Over all those years, I’ve experienced so many challenges, so many changes, so much opportunity for expanding who and what I am.

I’ve learned so much and I’d like to share it with you. It is my joy to assist people through their pain and obstacles. I do it with my heart. More.

expat issues

Expatriates face a unique set of challenges adjusting to a new culture: language difficulties, cultural differences, the loss of a close family and friend support system, and workplace differences. We know what it’s like. And we can help you adjust and expand. You’ve got a friend.

addictions

Addiction can destroy your own life and damage the lives of those around you. We can help you move through the source of your pain and emerge on the other side, fully capable of dealing with all that life brings your way. The substance is not the problem.
